The ground floor renovation of a classic London town house, presented our client with the chance to upgrade their home technology, from audio, and video through network, to lighting and automated window treatments.
Previously, a B&O system had been installed for audio, allowing FM radio and CDs to be played in various rooms throughout the property. With the renovation of the Ground Floor, there was a requirement to supply a new audio solution to the Kitchen, TV Room and Drawing Room. We took the opportunity to introduce our client to the new NI system from B&O, allowing them to access music from various internet sources including TuneIn radio and Deezer. We then integrated this new system with the older system in the rest of the house, meaning that those unchanged areas now also enjoy access to these sources.
In the Kitchen we installed B&Os ceiling speakers with in-wall subwoofer. What these speakers may lack in discretion they make up for in design, looking sleek and stylish, perfectly in keeping with the style of the house.
No Philharmonic AV supplied and installed home technology system would be complete without a managed WiFi system, allowing high speed Wi-Fi connections throughout the property. This property was no different, with access points installed on each of the three floors ensuring consistent performance wherever our client find themselves in their home.
For our client, lighting was a key element of the renovation, both in terms of design and style but also in operation. At Philharmonic, we can help with both, partnering with a lighting designer to put together a scheme for which we design the back-end control. In this property, we designed a Lutron system offering all the features our client wanted and more! Vacation mode, consistent scene recall, timed events triggered by an astronomical clock, easy operation all feature. Another enhanced feature our clients were impressed by is their ability to now operate the automated window treatments, also supplied by Philharmonic AV, on the same keypads as the lighting. This offered them simplicity, ease of use and seamless management of their home.
